The Result of this Explosion of Sexuality:

 

• 50% of men and 20% of women are addicted (this by the way is a 10 yr old statistic)

• 67% of men 18-35 engage in porn weekly 

• 11 Million Teens view porn daily

• Average age of first exposure to porn is 9-11 years old

• 88.2% of porn scenes depict  acts of physical violence

• Pornography is as addictive as Cocaine

 

 

In an effort to gain some current and specific data, in 2019, Road to Purity surveyed over 400 College age students who were practicing Catholics. We asked them anonymously if they felt they were addicted to inappropriate sexual behavior. Inappropriate sexual behavior as defined as looking at porn, hooking up, having sex outside of marriage, or having anonymous sex.

 

The results were: 88% of young men and 81% of young women reported they felt they were addicted to inappropriate sexual behavior. This is the absolutely stunning state of our young men and women – especially those who one would expect are strong in their faith!
