Surrender Prayer
Commentary: As we men struggle with porn or inappropriate sexual activities, we of course would say that we want to change. But if we are honest with ourselves, most will see deep down inside that we are not completely willing to let go of the behavior. It provides comfort, its a kind of medication when we desire to "escape" or "check-out" for a multitude of reasons. But if we see that we wish we wanted to change, or as this prayer states "desire the desire", then Jesus can work with that. In effect we are asking him to change our hearts - and that permission is all he needs to begin.
Pray this prayer as part of your daily routine (even if it’s the only thing you pray), EVERY SINGLE DAY and I promise you, it will change your life
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I desire the desire to surrender my heart and my entire being to you but I cannot do it, I fear the abandonment of losing control of who I am. I ask that you take what little space I can open to you, use it and invade my heart, take it captive and protect it from all evil. I beg for your help in my complete surrender to you.
Battle Prayer
Commentary: The dragon and lizard being referred to here is the Lizard of Lust. Jesus doesn't want to "help" you fight your battle, He wants to do it for you. To do that, you must surrender the battle. After all, this battle is not really you, it is not who God created you to be, so it’s not your battle to fight. GIVE IT TO CHRIST! He is just waiting for you to hand it over to Him so you can be free from this battle.
Lord Jesus Christ; I cannot fight this battle any more, I'm done, I hand you the dragon to slay, I hand you the lizard to slay, I walk away, it’s yours, I'm done. I can't do this anymore. It's not may battle any more.
Prayer for Protection (St. Michael)
Saint Michael the Archangel, Defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host - by the Divine Power of God - cast into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Truth - for Married Men
"I don't want sex, I want love, acceptance, to be wanted ....Union with God. To be in communion with God. To be intimate with my wife is to be in Divine union of what God created, Us in the divine union of marriage under God. We are joined as one under God and physical intimacy is taking part physically in that union. Cocoon
Close my eyes and feel the warmth of the power of God and the Holy Spirit encasing me like a cocoon from head to toe, protecting me from all that is evil, from all temptations and from all desires of the outside world.
