PALMS AND PROVERBS

Psalm 62:1 “For God alone my soul waits in silence;”

Psalm 101:3 “I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.”

Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and steadfast spirit within me”

Psalm 97:10 “The Lord loves those who hate evil; he guards the lives of his faithful; he rescues them from the hand of the wicked.”

Psalm 25:20-21 “ O guard my life, and deliver me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you.”

Psalm 119:9 “How can young people keep their way pure? By guarding it according to your word.”

Psalm 51:1-17

1. Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.

4 Against you, you alone, have I sinned, and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are justified in your sentence and blameless when you pass judgment.

5 Indeed, I was born guilty, a sinner when my mother conceived me.

6 You desire truth in the inward being; therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart.

7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have crushed rejoice.

9 Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your holy spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and sustain in me a willing spirit.

13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you.

14 Deliver me from bloodshed, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your deliverance.

15 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.

16 For you have no delight in sacrifice; if I were to give a burnt offering, you would not be pleased.

17 The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

Psalm 51:1-2“Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.”

Proverbs 6:25“Do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes” Proverbs 31:3“Do not give your strength to women, your ways to those who destroy kings.”

Proverbs 7:1-5

1 “My child, keep my words and store up my commandments with you;

2 keep my commandments and live, keep my teachings as the apple of your eye;

3 bind them on your fingers, write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call insight your intimate friend,

5 that they may keep you from the loose woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words.”

Proverbs 6:32-33 “But he who commits adultery has no sense; he who does it destroys himself. He will get wounds and dishonor, and his disgrace will not be wiped away.”

Proverbs 7:21-22 “With much seductive speech she persuades him; with her smooth talk she compels him. Right away he follows her, and goes like an ox to the slaughter, or bounds like a stag toward the trap.”

Proverbs 7:25-27 “Do not let your hearts turn aside to her ways; do not stray into her paths. For many are those she has laid low, and numerous are her victims. Her house is the way to Sheol, going down to the chambers of death.”

Proverbs 6:25-29

25 Do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes;

26 for a prostitute's fee is only a loaf of bread but the wife of another stalks a man's very life.

27 Can fire be carried in the bosom without burning one's clothes?

28 Or can one walk on hot coals without scorching the feet?

29 So is he who sleeps with his neighbor's wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished.

Proverbs 2:10-16 25

10 “for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

11 prudence will watch over you; and understanding will guard you.

12 It will save you from the way of evil, from those who speak perversely,

13 who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,

14 who rejoice in doing evil and delight in the perverseness of evil;

15 those whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways.

16 You will be saved from the loose woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words,”

Proverbs 5:1-4 “My child, be attentive to my wisdom; incline your ear to my understanding, so that you may hold on to prudence, and your lips may guard knowledge. For the lips of a loose woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil; but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.”

Proverbs 3:5-8 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be a healing for your flesh and a refreshment for your body.”

Proverbs 23:26-28 “My child, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways. For a prostitute is a deep pit; an adulteress is a narrow well she lies in wait like a robber and increases the number of the faithless.”

Proverbs 5:20 “Why should you be intoxicated, my son, by another woman and embrace the bosom of an adulteress.
